Historical record in agricultural insurance compensation: 149 million in 2023
The compensation paid by Agroinsurance to insured farmers and ranchers in Andalusia for claims registered during the year 2023 have risen to 149 million euros (specifically 148.9), with a total damaged area of 385,000 hectares insured.
This amount is more than double that paid in 2022 (64.1 million) and represents the historical maximum of compensation in the region in the 43 years of history of agricultural insurance. Specifically, the amounts paid in the period 2017-2023 are, together with 2012, the highest in the 43-year history of the Spanish Combined Agricultural Insurance system.
